Skills System Alumni Group
What is the Skills System Alumni Group?
The Skills System Alumni Group provides those individuals who have successfully completed their Initial Skills System Training and graduated from the program the opportunity to review and further perfect the skills they learned during their initial training. This group also provides an opportunity for group members to discuss situations/scenarios they have encountered and receive group feedback on how to best address those situations using the Skills System.
Who should attend this group?
This group is designed for individuals who have successfully completed their Initial Skills System Training and graduated from the program. All participants must have an open and active case at the San Diego Regional Center.
What is the time commitment to this group?
The Skills System Alumni Group meets once a month for one hour.
When are the groups being held?
The Skills System Support Persons Groups are held once a month on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please click here to download a list of Alumni Group Dates.
Where do the groups meet?
The groups are being held at the Center for Personal Growth, Inc. The Center for Personal Growth, Inc. is located in the Normal Heights area of San Diego near the corner of 30th Street and Adams Avenue.
What is the group size?
The group size is four to ten participants per group. If a group is full, participants can be added to a waiting list or another group may be created.
How much does this group cost?
This group is funded through the San Diego Regional Center and is provided at no cost to all San Diego Regional Center approved group participant. Participants who are interested in joining this group should contact their San Diego Regional Center Service Coordinator to request authorization for these services.
How do I enroll in this group?
Interested participants can enroll in the Skills System Alumni Group by contacting the Center for Personal Growth, Inc. at 619-528-8005. It is strongly suggested the group participant contact their San Diego Regional Center Service Coordinator and tell him/her they would like to participate in this service. If the SDRC planning team agrees that the group participant could benefit from this service, please ask them to request authorization for this group. The participant can not enrolled in or attend this group until this authorization is received by the Center for Personal Growth, Inc. Once this authorization is received by the Center for Personal Growth, Inc., the participant will be contacted to schedule a date to begin attending this group.
